Representatives from 23 teams attended Connecticut’s pro day on March 11, including Detroit Lions defensive line coach Kris Kocurek. Twelve players worked out indoors on FieldTurf, including two guys who were at the combine. Yawin Smallwood, LB: Smallwood (6-foot-2 1/8, 242 pounds) was unable to jump at his pro day because of a left hamstring injury. I spoke with him today to see if he was ever able to put in a timed run, and he said no. He did perform position workouts with Kocurek at his pro day, however. Shamar Stephen, DL: Stephen (6-foot-4 5/8, 307 pounds) also had a hamstring issue at his pro day and did not run the 40, but he put in a nice workout […]![]()
